The P2 or FL error code is an indication that the drain pan in the unit is full. Under normal operating conditions, the drain pan will not need to be drained. The drain pan is small and holds less than 8 ounces of water.
If your air conditioner is in cool mode and the pan fills up frequently, the room is very humid and the unit is working well. Turn the fan down to low speed to slow the air circulation in the room. Make sure all doors and windows to the room are closed to create a controlled environment. Reducing the fan speed will reduce the amount of moisture removed from the room, which in turn should reduce the frequency in which the drain pan requires emptying.
If your air conditioner is in dry mode, the unit runs primarily to remove moisture from the air. Change the unit to Cool Mode to reduce the amount of moisture removed from the room.
To drain the water, remove the drain outlet plug at the rear and tilt the air conditioner back so that the water drains out. Make sure to have brought a small bowl onto which you will empty the water from the air conditioner drainage container.
