The distinction between each pixel decides how detail
the display can deliver
and Contrast Modulation (CM1)) is
the optimal measurement methods for it by ISO2).
The higher the CM, the more precise each pixel appears
distinctively in the display.
According to ISO,
when defining resolution, the CM must be 25% or more.
If the display fails to meet this criterion,
the actual resolution would be lower – not real 8K.

1) The CM values were tested by VDE (Verband Der Elektrotechnik, one of the world's foremost providers of standardisation, product testing, and certification).
The CM of tested display is for 7680 Horizontal resolution in a vertical 1x1 grille.
2) ISO (International Organization for Standardization):
ISO defines the resolution as the maximum numbers of alternating black and white lines that can be displayed with a contrast modulation of 25 percent or more.
3) The images were taken in black and white.
4) The actual width of a pixel on a 75-inch TV.
