What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Picture quality good, everything else not so good I spent a lot of time researching what TV to get based on the features of the TV itself along with external features. I ended up choosing a Samsung product and when I arrived at curry's they had none in stock, and advised me this was basically identical but how wrong was I to believe the salesman and just took his word for it. I mainly used it for gaming and my partner for watching TV. Of course after having used it for a few daysfinding out the issues that follow, it's now a used product so couldn't be returned for a refund. I wanted multiple hdmi ports, this has only two so constantly unugging things to use other devices. My gaming £230 headset requires a headphone jack for sound, this TV had no headphone jack so rendered these useless. They also require USB power, this TV only has one USB so if you wanted to plug anything else in I was stuck. Sound quality is good but max volume is mediocre at best but with the window open on a semi busy road it was impossible to hear as from around 35 to 100 there's no difference. We bought a sound bar for 180 to help cure this and it definitely made it auidable, BUT the lag made the sound and picture about half a second apart no matter how much you adjusted the delay or advance. Being my first smart TV I assumed they all came with basic apps my go to was YouTube, and the partners itv player and all the other catch up/on demand types. Yet this TV has none. Ethernet and WiFi constantly disconnects sometimes within an hour maybe a day at best, not that I bothered about getting it repaired under warranty because every online feature/app that I wanted doesn't exist. The menu and all of its features are clunky and slow, what ever you press takes a while to register, so you press it again and end up shooting past where you want to be. All in all I upgraded my HD TV to practically a non smart 4k tv, all whilst losing money on my gaming headset and buying a sound bar that was unusable if you wanted lips to be in sync. It's now in the back room to watch TV in bed. I've never bought an LG product before and to be honest it will probably be by only purchase from them regarding all issues with just this one product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken after just 3 years Disappointed to see others have also experienced this TV breaking exactly 3 years after purchase. Not what I expect from a £600 TV. I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Less than average performance, then broke. This TV broke like clockwork after three years of not even particularly frequent use. Clearly one of the few working parts of this telly is the planned obsolescence chip. Plus points - the picture was nice. Negative points: The menu interface is clearly way too resource intensive for it's own hardware to handle- it's laggy and unresponsive, quite often forgets changes that have been made, and trades cleans looks for actual performance. It's like trying to operate the TV via a Powerpoint on a coal-powered PC. It's frustrating to constantly interrupt viewing just so a series of menus can load - even more frustrating that when those menus load, they quite often behave erratically depending on button actions. Constant pop ups about updates and channel mappings. Again the menu system is far too intrusive. The 'Game' mode still couldn't quite get rid of the significant HDMI input latency, therefore useless for most games. Barely any I/O - had to constantly swap HDMI sources manually. Overall, a not-exactly-cheap bit of nice looking, but deeply flawed equipment. I won't be buying from LG again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No ITV Player You can't catch up on Emmerdale or Coro, as this has no ITV player app nor the channel 4 app, so you can't catch-up on them. That's a ridiculous omission

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't bother Worst TV I've ever had, problems with hdmi input and WiFi not working, this has happened after the manufacturer warranty has ran out. I've had other TVs for 10 plus years and never had a problem with them. Never going to buy LG TV again. Total waste of my money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Limited apps I bought this tv after hearing excellent feedback for LG Tvs in general. I made the assumption that any smart tv these days would have all the catch up tv apps. Much to my disappointement all4 and itv hub isnt available on it. These are the two i would use the most!! Very disappointed to say the least!!
