Emmy Award winner and Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay takes center stage as host of the 78th Emmy Awards, live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

 

It’s set to be a huge night for some of television’s most talked-about shows. The Pitt leads the drama nominations with 25, while the final season of Hacks has made Emmy history with 24 nominations, the most ever for a comedy series in a single year. They’ll be joined by nominated shows including Slow Horses, The Diplomat, Pluribus, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking and Abbott Elementary.

 

Plus there’ll be plenty of familiar faces hoping to take home an Emmy, with Noah Wyle, Gary Oldman, Jean Smart, Lisa Kudrow, Martin Short, Keri Russell, Sterling K. Brown, Michelle Pfeiffer, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Sarah Snook among this year’s nominees.
