What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Longevity? Bought this tv just under 18 months ago, I have been extremely impressed with it on very level, until.....a few days ago a box like background image appeared on yellow, red, or green colours which filled the screen, it wasn't there when the screen was filled with lots of images. It gradually got worse, then the tv failed to turn on at all, the red light was still on, went off when I clicked on the remote power button. Tried everything I could, not working. I went to the store I bought it from to buy a replacement, but not an oled model, where the assistant told me I had a 5 year guarantee with their store on the C7 , lucky me. I rang the helpline, they knew exactly what the fault was, and and indicated that it was something that could happen with the oled model, but after 18 months? not good at all. It has been taken away for a few weeks to be repaired, so I have had to buy a replacement until then. Not a happy LG customer at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from brilliant The absolute dogs danglies. Brilliant crisp and vibrant picture. 4k rocks! The only negative I can think of is it takes several seconds for the Freeview TV guide to display. Good for gaming also. Sony also used LG's panel in their pricier TV - what more recommendation do you need?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb picture, just a few niggles Bought this Black Friday 2017 and have not looked back... Pro's: Fantastic picture Surprisingly rich and punchy sound Active HDR & Dolby Vision Plenty of HDMI inputs (you'll need a converter if you require a composite connection such as a Wii) Looks sleek and sexy Dedicated Netflix & Amazon buttons on the remote DLNA support - i haven't found anything it won't play from either USB or my NAS drive Good web browser All the catch-up services and NowTV Brilliant upscaling Cons: There aren't many... If you connect a regular aerial (Freeview) as well as a satellite dish (FreeSat), you can't record from one while you watch the other. If you're watching something delayed that you're recording, when it finishes recording, it stops what you're watching and drops you back to the channel you were recording from. I.e. If a show you're recording is 8pm-9pm and you start watching it @ 8:30, come 9pm you'll be kicked back to that channel and you'll have to go into your 'recordings' to pick it back up. When recording something, it's common for it to miss a bit off the end. It appears to record time to time, not start to finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an amazing piece of kit I've had the TV for a year or so and am still super impressed with how good stuff looks. It almost ruins viewing content on any other TV, as you know it can look better. If you can still find this then I would go for it. Yeah the newer C8 model has a few superior features, like black frame insertion and better near black performance and if you can find that for a similar price then obviously chose that one. The built in apps are amazing for streaming content. I use it for gaming as well and the input lag is good at 21ms - something they haven't improved up in the C8. The only thing I would say is if you are on the fence and a gamer then you may want to wait for 2019 models which should include the new HDMI standard (2.1) that has variable refresh rates (VRR) which should stop stuttering and poor frame pacing in games - making everything feel smoother.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great image, Good price Bought it last week (08/2018) as a replacement for my "old" Sony 46" LCD TV. The Image quality is breathtaking. The only thing I am missing is a Component Video Input for some external Devices like Gameconsole or older Bose Lifestyle Cinema System (RGB or S-Video). The software is a bit harder to get used to it. But after a while its okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! I bought it last year and it’s been fantastic. The reason I don’t give 5stars is that I miss the double tuner I had on my other smart Samsung Tv at lower price range. That means that you cannot record your favourite program while watching another channel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb TV Have literally just purchased this TV as a replacement for my Samsung KS7000 (which I had been very happy with to be honest). Tweaked some of the settings (not too many) and PQ is absolutely superb. Sets inbuilt FreeView tuner is a little bit fussier than my previous TV's which has necessitated the fitting of a newer aerial, but my existing one was ages old so needed replacing anyway. FreeSat duties are taken care of by my Humax HD1100S and I was blown away by the PQ of the World Cup on BBC1 HD last night. The best I have seen on any set. 4K Blu rays are incredible, with so much more detail on offer over my old set. Early days yet, but I absolutely love this set. And a total and utter bargain at the current price.
