Sign language consultation service
In October 2021, LG Electronics became the first in the Korean electronics industry to launch a sign language consultation service. Professional sign language consultants with extensive product knowledge respond to inquiries from customers with disabilities via video calls. Starting this year, we have expanded this service to provide interpretation between customers and sales managers during product purchases at LG Best Shops. Launched as part of our ESG management, this service is receiving positive feedback, recording nearly 1,000 consultations last year.
Digital human sign language service
In 2023, LG Electronics introduced the Digital Human Sign Language Service for hearing-impaired customers at reception kiosks in approximately 130 service centers nationwide. By selecting the sign language button at the bottom of the screen, customers can follow the digital human's guidance to register for service and receive instructions on how to use the center. Considering comprehensive accessibility, the service also provides text and voice options, providing faster and more accurate information delivery.
