LG TVs offer a variety of picture modes optimized for different types of
content (such as Cinema, Sports, and Game).
Users can manually adjust settings like Backlight, Contrast, and
Sharpness, or use advanced features to optimize the viewing experience.
Why do I need to change the picture mode?
- The TV’s initial settings may not match your room lighting or the type of content you watch (movies, sports, games).
- As a result, the picture may look too bright or too dark, or fast motion may look blurry.
- Choosing a mode that matches your content can reduce eye strain and help you view content exactly as the creator intended.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q. The screen looks too yellow when watching movies. Is the TV broken?
- A. [Cinema] mode follows the standard color temperature for movies (warm tone), so it may appear more yellow than standard modes. If you prefer a cooler tone, change the mode to [Standard] or [Vivid].
- Q. The colors look strange regardless of the picture mode.
- A. There may be an issue with the TV. Please run [Screen Self-diagnosis] in the settings. If the issue persists, contact LG Customer Support for service.
