Rated 5 out of 5 by from one of the last One of the last plasmas, far superior to any LCD screen, a great product, includes both freeview HD and a sattelite HD tuner. Can record to a separate HDD and reads from usb sticks I bought the WiFi link/magic remote and it is great Works with my phone and the internet. I bought it as plasma screens are no longer being made, sad, but that's life. It was worth every penny and it's a great versatile television. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unable to link up with LG cinema system Bought this TV and also a LG cinema system, spoke to two guys from LG who were extremely helpful but unfortunalty neither of them could set up tv with a sky box and cinema system. I sold a very good Panasonic cinema system because I presumed having a same brand it would allow me to link up all products. although I'm reasonably happy with both products I would thought a LG tv, LG cinema system and a standard Sky box would be simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from what a difference I have just upgrade from a 37" lcd tv to a 50" plasma and the difference in picture quality is amazing . very easy to set up . disappointed I had to buy a wifi dongle but it does work very well when I cast my tablet screen on to the TV . Internet function works well .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, easy to use. Very impressed with the warmth, clarity and detail of the on-screen picture after some simple fine-tuning of the default settings. Slightly baffled by initial failure to operate with a soundbar, but easily solved first time I went to "Input" button and found the options for sound -this should perhaps be mentioned in the "Quick Set Up" manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality viewing My first impression of this TV was the physical size. This 50 inch tv was much bigger than I had visualised but that is not a problem of course. The only down side is limited location within the lounge. However, a little rearranging of the furniture and all is well. Picture quality. I've owned a plasma screen before so I know the high quality moving images that only plasma can produce are far superior to LCD/LED back lit et cetera. IMHO nothing I have seen so far competes with plasma. Period. However, when I set up the tv (and by the way, this set is "heavy" and requires 2 people to lift it) I used the factory settings and to be honest I was not particularly impressed with either the image quality or indeed the colour and brightness. Indeed, my first reaction was to look closely at the tv serial number to check that I had actually received a plasma screen. I had. My first reaction was to consider sending this LG TV straight back to the manufacturer. My previous plasma was a panasonic (now unavailable) and this LG did not appear to be of the same quality. However, having read a review somewhere that to get the best from this particular model, it was advisable to ignore the factory settings and go through the set up guide and adjust by trial and error to find the optimum configuration to suit ones own preferences. Two days later I had exactly the setup I wanted. Clear still images and clear moving images and the colour shades I am happy with. So now I have a tv that for my viewing is crystal clear with authentic colours. Sound wise the set is certainly adequate for most people. However having read various reviews I'm seriously considering a sound bar to add to the viewing experience. Would I recommend this particular make and model of plasma tv? Certainly, but be prepared to spend a couple of evenings changing the settings to suit ones own preferences and I'm sure you will be more than happy with this LG Plasma TV.
