Nexus 4 Geek Squad expert review

The Nexus 4 is one serious piece of kit folks! LG and Google have teamed up to create a device which is running a quad core 1.5GHz processor,
backed up by 2GB of RAM- certainly more than enough for any smartphone user running any amount of games and apps.

I’m a massive fan of the Nexus series, Google always seem to raise the bar with each handset. The styling of the phone’s menus and screens is very slick
and smooth, while the design of the phone itself is pretty unique thanks to the glass covered, specially patterned back panel.

Running Android's latest 4.2.1 Jelly Bean software and being part of Google's own Nexus range means you’re guaranteed a great Android experience.
The awesome 4.7” touchscreen certainly doesn't disappoint in the quality stakes.
It’s an IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD, similar to the iPhone,
and offers a very similar resolution too - 1280x768 pixels and 320ppi, compared to the 4” iPhone 5's 326ppi, there's not a huge amount in it.
To top it off it’s also made from Gorilla Glass 2, meaning the odd bump for the handset doesn’t spell disaster for you smartphone's screen.

Overall this is an amazing device and right at the top of the Android tree with the Samsungs and Sonys of this world. If you’re in the market for a top end Android device, look no further.

It's unreal. This phone has some of the best specs around but it's not just great value, it's fantastic value. Almost too good to be true.

Along with the quality casing it's probably the best-value Android available at the moment, and certainly the most powerful.

Yet despite all those cool features, it’s an overriding sense of clarity that truly sets the Nexus 4 apart.

The Google Nexus 4 is almost certainly the best Android device around, never mind the best value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the phone, hate the aftercare... This phone was my first foray into the android world having been a BlackBerry user for the past 10 years and I wasn't disappointed. Of course, I could do everything that I could on my BB but faster, the wide array of apps is astounding and this piece of kit could cope admirably with all I could throw at it. The only drawback I had was when I got a dead strip on my touchscreen whilst in the US, reviewed the forums to find it to be a common fault when using a different voltage to then be told that it's basically my fault for going there! Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Android performer for reasonable price Nexus 4 is definitely a smart phone that I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great performance for a reasonable price. I would especially stress the possibility to upgrade the original Google firmware to the latest version, which is not dependent as firmware upgrades for service providers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phone - fantastic, speaker - don't bother! Really pleased with the phone, can't fault it at all, and it's amazing good value - you would be forgiven for thinking it's a £400+ phone. But don't bother with the free Bluetooth speaker that Asda offers - it doesn't work with the phone! Phone is unable to pair with it for some reason. I paired the speaker with another device and was unimpressed with the sound quality anyway. Plus it doesn't have its own volume control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Purchase Really impressed with this phone. Very clear screen and quick menu reactions. Have read reviews elsewhere about screen and back being a bit fragile (back is glass as well as screen), so I would advise getting a case for it.
