- You can pair Bluetooth earbuds with your LG TV so you can listen privately or focus on clearer, more immersive audio. Put your earbuds into pairing mode, then select Bluetooth as the TV’s sound output and choose your earbuds from the device list.
Please Note
- Bluetooth earbuds can usually connect to only one device at a time. If they are connected to a phone, tablet, or computer, they may not appear on the TV.
- Keep the earbuds close to the TV during pairing to reduce connection issues.
- If the earbuds do not show in the list, run the on-screen search, refresh again and confirm the earbuds are in pairing mode.
Bluetooth earbuds may not connect to an LG TV in these situations.
Most Bluetooth connection issues happen when the earbuds are not in pairing mode, are already connected to another device, or the TV’s Bluetooth device list needs to be refreshed.
1. The earbuds are connected to another device
If your earbuds are already connected to a smartphone or another Bluetooth source, the LG TV may not find them during the search.
2. The earbuds are not in pairing mode
If pairing mode is not active, the earbuds may not appear in the TV’s available device list.
3. The TV device list needs to be refreshed
If the TV searched before the earbuds entered pairing mode, the list may not update until you run the search again.

FAQ
- Q. Do I need to reconnect my earbuds every time I turn on the TV?
- A. Usually not. After the earbuds are registered, the TV will try to connect automatically when both the TV and earbuds are on. If the earbuds connect to another device first, disconnect them from that device and select them again from the TV’s Bluetooth device list.
- Q. My earbuds are paired but the sound still plays through the TV speakers. What should I check?
- A. Confirm the TV sound output is set to Bluetooth in Settings > Sound > Sound Out. If it is already set, disconnect and reconnect the earbuds from the Bluetooth device list, then check the earbud volume and battery level.
