Game Dashboard may not appear if the TV cannot detect game information from your console or PC over HDMI.
Turn on Game Optimizer and make sure the Picture Mode is set to Game Optimizer, then try opening Game Dashboard again.
Please Note
- Menu names and button labels may vary by model and region.
- Some features may not be available depending on the connected device and HDMI port.
- If you are using a Magic Remote, it must be paired to the TV before pointer-based controls will work.
- For exact usage and settings of third-party devices, please check the manufacturer's customer service or user manual.
Why Game Dashboard may not show up after connecting a console or PC
Game Dashboard may not appear when the TV does not receive or recognize game-related information from the HDMI device.
If Game Optimizer is not enabled automatically, Game Dashboard may stay unavailable until you turn it on manually and switch to the correct picture mode.
1. The connected device does not provide game identification over HDMI
Some PCs or external devices do not send the game identification information the TV uses to automatically enable game features.
2. The TV is using a non-game picture mode
If Picture Mode is set to a standard mode (for example, Standard or Cinema), Game Dashboard may not be available until you switch to Game Optimizer.
3. Menu entry points can differ by model
Depending on the TV model, Game Optimizer may be located under different menus, or Game Dashboard may be opened using a different remote-control button.
Turn on Game Optimizer and bring up Game Dashboard
First, enable Game Optimizer in settings.
If Game Dashboard still does not appear, switch Picture Mode to Game Optimizer and try again.
Step 1. Enable Game Optimizer from settings
Turn on the TV.
Press the Settings button on the remote control.
Open All Settings.
Select General, then select Game Optimizer.
Set Game Optimizer to On.
If your remote has a Game Dashboard button, press it to display Game Dashboard.
Step 2. Change Picture Mode to Game Optimizer if Game Dashboard is missing
Press the Settings button on the remote control.
Open Picture settings.
Set Picture Mode to Game Optimizer.
Try opening Game Dashboard again from the remote control.
Step 3. If your remote does not have a dedicated Game Dashboard button
Press the Home button on the remote.
Select Settings on the screen, then open All Settings.
Go to General and turn Game Optimizer On.
Return to your HDMI input and confirm Picture Mode is set to Game Optimizer.
Step 4. Pair the Magic Remote if pointer controls do not work
Turn on the TV.
After about 20 seconds, point the remote toward the TV and press the Wheel (OK) button.
If pairing fails, turn the TV off and back on, then try again.
If the pointer does not appear, re-register by pointing the remote at the TV and pressing the Back and Home buttons at the same time for more than 5 seconds until instructions appear.
FAQ
- Q. Why didn’t my TV automatically enable game features when I connected my console or PC?
-
A. Automatic detection depends on whether the connected device and HDMI input provide recognizable game information.
If the TV cannot detect it, you may need to turn on Game Optimizer manually and set Picture Mode to Game Optimizer.
- Q. I turned on Game Optimizer, but I still cannot see Game Dashboard. What should I check?
-
A. Confirm that Picture Mode is set to Game Optimizer.
Also note that some remotes do not include a dedicated Game Dashboard button; in that case, use the on-screen Settings entry and return to the HDMI input to verify Game Optimizer is active.
