What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid I had this tv for a year and it worked perfecty well until a software update in December 2018, since then it will not connect the Wifi and the magic remote has stopped working. Liased with LG and they want to charge me £150 for a new Wifi module even though the fault occured whilst under warranty. I have found that many people have reported the same fault whilst trying to find a fix on the net, will not buy another LG product again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No signal from HDMI devices Regularly get no signal warning from this tv when I try to watch a DVD. Have tried three different high speed HDMI cables and even replaced my new lg 4k DVD player with a Sony, but still happens. Annoying and embarrassing if I try to out on a DVD. Apparently lots of people worldwide have same problem with lg tv's. Can't afford to replace this or I would get rid and buy a Samsung or Panasonic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb picture Bought this mainly for the Xbox One X. The games looks absolutely stunning in 4k with HDR. Netflix, Blurays etc all look amazing. Great TV.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sublime bright picture detail, but issues I bought this TV in November 17' and was amazed at the quality of bright images. Even dark scenes looked great, although you can see the local dimming due to the way it works (a few vertical bands of brightness across the screen). Unfortunately, the TV developed problems as early as February 2018 and I corresponded directly with LG on dealing with these. At first various issues were dealt with by adjusting settings and doing factory resets, but by April the problems kept occurring more frequently and it became clear there was something physically wrong with the TV. I decided to get in touch with TeamKnowHow as the LG tech team suggested it could take 10 days to repair the TV and Currys had a 5 day turnaround. Unfortunately, the repairs did not fix the problem and I had to send the TV back again for further repairs. Unbelievably the repairs team replaced the mainboard four times, despite my attempts to point out that it was more likely to be something else causing the mainboard to fail rather than the mainboard itself. I tried more than once to encourage a logical approach to the issue and yet the team decided to waste time, effort and my goodwill by repeating the same steps each time and somehow expecting a different result (an approach I find baffling at best and obtuse at worst). The TV kept flagging up messages saying device disconnected, even when none were connected; the magic remote would start to become slow to respond and then cease working altogether; the picture would inexplicably speed up for brief moments while the sound remained normal and these problems would always come back progressively in the same order listed after every factory reset. LG advice started to become absurd, at one point suggesting it was probably down to high broadband speeds or the signal being too good?! It was complete nonsense and every other TV I had worked just fine. In the end I got Curry's to agree to a full refund. Unfortunately the TV is no longer in production so I couldn't get a direct replacement and the equivalent TV is now far more expensive and not affordable. So what started out as a purchase I was deleted with turned into a complete nightmare and LG proved themselves to be lacking when it came to effective and good customer service (neither LG or Currys would replace the TV with an equivalent model due to the difference in cost and neither seemed to give a flying fudge about the huge inconvenience I had suffered - almost a month without a TV while they messed up on repairs).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best tv 4 gaming 4k 60fps or fhd in 120fps very low input lag in game mode, and ability to switch back to 1080p @120Hz for fast pace gaming like Forza7 on this tv I have done top1 in the world times several times, still load of config left for you to adjust your screen in game mode, only minor letdown is "simplink" sometimes audio get stuck on hdmi and do not want to switch to ARC (Onkyo Amp), restart of devices help every time and it is more of a compatibility LG-Onkyo than a problem. excellent quality without any ghosting in 4K or FHD for 579GBP plus 100off xboxx in currys, nothing on the market can compare with that price/performance. would only replace it with Oled but 3times the price it is in a different league altohether.
