What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screen burn Great television but why should it only last 2.5 years. The image burnt on the screen is their own logo, if the technology has a recognised failure with screen burn why is their own screen saver static when a pc screen from the last century evaded the problem? I called the helpline and they suggested using the Clear panel noise tool, five times. Each process took over an hour and achieved nothing. LG take no responsibility for the products failing, I will now take the problem to Sevenoaks hifi who apparently hold the responsibility for a legal challenge as to why the product proved unfair for purpose. My four other televisions are all Samsung, I do not know if this company would behave any better because despite the tv’s being much older they haven’t actually broken!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inevitable Burn In After Time.. OLED is beautiful and this entry level 65" was truly excellent in the early weeks. Unfortunately the NETFLIX and YouTube logo's are in Red. After the course of two years I noticed all Red imaging had burnt in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screen Burn!!! I bought this OLED TV in May 2017 and initially I was very happy with it. Then around a couple of weeks ago, July 2019 I noticed a greenish tinge on the lower left corner of the screen. Investigating further I discovered it was screen burn, an all too common problem with the new OLED technology. I have been back and forth with the company I bought it from as well as LG who don’t wish to accept any responsibility as I am outside the very meager 1 year manufacturers warranty. Furthermore, LG says it is my fault for watching the TV incorrectly!!! Believe it or not they say that neither I nor anyone should watch any images on an OLED TV with a static display of any kind. Static displays such as channel logos in one corner of the screen or even a brief image that appears on screen in the same place every day even for a few minutes can cause screen burn, pathetic. For example on my OLED screen I can clearly see the Good Morning Britain logo in the bottom left corner of the screen along with the clock beneath it, as well as the rolling news banner to the right of that. Another example is the Sky Q picture in picture on the menu screen as well as the selected recording picture that comes up in the middle of the screen. Each square burned in square can be clearly seen permanently engraved on the screen and these particular menu screens are used for just minutes a day! Yet according to LG this is not a manufacturing issue and it is misuse on my part, unbelievable! Well I guess they didn’t expect me to watch my TV. OLED technology is a sham and LG are not the least bit interested in correcting the issue and that no doubt is why they give such a short and useless 1 year guarantee. I will be posting the review everywhere I can think of to make sure others are warned of this unproven technology and LG’s total indifference to mine and no doubt anyone else’s problems with OLED screens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great at First Now 2 years old and needs replacing Bought this TV in November 2016 when SKY Q was launched. In fairness the TV has been great, However now there is lines across the screen and been quoted £1800 for fixed price repair. Over 50% of the cost of a new tv. Being my first LG tv I am very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fab Luxury! We treated ourselves to this TV when we moved house about a year ago. My Wife didn't want it, as she thought it was "Far too big". She now loves it, and so do the rest of us. (Son aged 6, Daughter aged 11). It turns a family film night in to a real treat, and you spend much of the time revelling in the picture as much as the story. Sports events are breath taking and even standard HD is a thing to behold. I look forward to watching the match on BT UHD no matter who is playing, it's a real treat. Moto GP and Formula 1 really bring the TV to life. It's true what they say, "Life's Good!".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 2016 TV on the market OLED is expensive compared to other technologies, but this 2016 model is coming down to a reasonable price and offers breathtaking 4k and HDR images, supporting both HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats. Highly, highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from b6 screen goes black for second(s) Ever since downloading the new firmware update released for the B6, after watching either sky Q or playing PS4 pro the screen goes blank for a second or two intermittently and looks like the screen is resetting because I get the picture setting on the top right corner of screen ("HDR" etc). Is anyone else getting this after the firmware update or am I just mistaken and this has been going on for a while with the TV. From others experience is this a major issue or a software update issue? Also seems hdmi 2 won't connect 4K to devices that work on hdmi 1 and 3. I have a small window to return the tv and want to know if I should return it now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This OLED 4K TV has a great picture and Sound! So pleased with our B6 with its ultra thin bezel taken no more room size to our old 50" but now its all picture. The harman/kardon Sound has complemented our harman/kardon 7.1 Sound system so we have the best all-round TV entertainment!
