Dishwashers

Which LG dishwasher fits your kitchen?

Start with the space you have, then compare what goes inside it. Every LG dishwasher we sell is a 60 cm full-size machine.

First, your kitchen decides the type

Your kitchen decides whether you need a freestanding or an integrated dishwasher. Check the space you have first, then compare the models within that type.

Freestanding

Stands on its own in a 60 cm gap at the end of a run of units, with a finished front and its own worktop. Choose this if your kitchen has an open slot, or if you may take the machine with you when you move.

5 models: DF030FL, DF355FP, DF273FVS, DFGF624V, DF587HMS

Integrated

Slides into a 60 cm cabinet opening and takes a door panel matching your kitchen, so it disappears into the run of units. Choose this if your kitchen was built with a dishwasher housing.

3 models: DB273TX, DBGT634R, DBGT836R

Installing and looking after it

An integrated machine is decided by your cabinetry, so most of the work happens before it arrives.

Before it arrives

  • A 60 cm cabinet opening built for a dishwasher, 820 to 880 mm high
  • A door panel and handle supplied by your kitchen, matching the units either side
  • Controls sit on the top edge of the door, so they are only visible when the door is open
  • Water inlet, waste and a socket inside the housing

Keeping it working

  • Machine Clean with the tub empty clears grease and limescale
  • A water softener is built in, which matters in hard-water areas
  • Rinse the filter under the tap every few weeks
  • Aqua-Stop shuts the water off at the tap if it detects a leak

Not sure it will fit?

Three checks before the machine arrives: the cavity, the plumbing and the fixed door panel.

Series

The LG series each model belongs to. Each series focuses on a different balance of performance, convenience and design.

Series 5
Product Dimensions (W x H x D)

Width, height and depth in millimetres with the door closed. Standard kitchen housings take a 600 mm wide, 850 mm high machine, so check your gap before you buy.

598 x 815 x 554 mm
Place Settings

How many people's worth of dishes fits in one load. One place setting is a dinner plate, side plate, bowl, cup, saucer, glass and cutlery. 13 to 14 settings suits most families.

14
Energy Efficiency Class

The energy label rating from A (most efficient) to G, measured on the Eco programme. A higher class means lower running costs over the life of the machine.

A
Noise Level

How loud the machine runs on the Eco programme, in dBA (A-weighted decibels), the figure on the UK energy label. The lower the number, the quieter the machine, which matters most in an open-plan kitchen.

44 dBA
Noise Emission Class

The noise rating printed on the energy label, from A (quietest) to D. It summarises the decibel figure in a single letter.

B
Water Consumption (Eco)

Litres of water used by one Eco programme cycle, as declared on the energy label. Lower is better for your bills and for the environment.

9.5 L
Eco Cycle Time

How long the Eco programme takes. Eco cycles run longer at lower temperatures to save energy, and faster programmes are available for everyday loads.

Features

Features: Integrated dishwashers compared (DB273TX)
DB273TX
QuadWash™

Four spray arms, rather than the usual two, rotate as they spray so water reaches dishes from more angles for a more thorough clean.

Yes
TrueSteam™

Real steam is added during the wash to loosen baked-on food and reduce water spots, so dishes come out cleaner with less pre-rinsing.

No
Inverter DirectDrive™ Motor

LG's Inverter DirectDrive™ Motor controls water circulation for quiet performance and durability.

Yes
Auto Opening Door

The door opens by itself at the end of the cycle to let steam escape, so dishes dry faster without a heating element.

Yes
Height Adjustable 3rd Rack

A third, top rack for cutlery and utensils. Adjustable versions can be raised or lowered to make room for taller items on the rack below.

Fixed
Smart Rack+™

Folding tines and holders that fold away to fit pots, pans and awkwardly shaped items. Fully foldable gives the most flexibility.

Upper and lower partially foldable
Wash Cycles

The number of programmes built in, such as Eco, Auto, Intensive and Quick. More cycles give more choice for different loads.

9
Spray Arms

The rotating arms that spray water inside the machine, counted by position (top, upper, lower). On QuadWash™ models the lower arm has two parts that move independently, which is why LG calls it a four-arm system.

3
Machine Clean

A programme that cleans the inside of the dishwasher itself. Steam versions add steam for a deeper clean of the tub and filters.

Non-steam
Aqua-Stop

A safety system that shuts off the water supply if a leak is detected, protecting your kitchen floor.

Yes
Anti-Bacterial Tub Treatment

The stainless steel tub is treated to help stop bacteria building up between washes.

Water Softener

A built-in softener that treats hard water so glasses come out without cloudy limescale marks. Useful in hard-water areas.

Yes
Cutlery Basket

A removable basket in the lower rack for knives, forks and spoons, used on models without a 3rd rack.

FAQ

Q.What is an integrated dishwasher?
A.

An integrated (built-in) dishwasher slides into a cabinet opening built for a dishwasher and is hidden behind a door panel that matches your kitchen units. The controls sit on the top edge of the door, so they are only visible when it is open.

Q.Do I need my own door panel?
A.

Yes. DB273TX needs a compatible custom cabinet door, supplied separately. LG's installation guide specifies a panel 590–594 mm wide and 16–22 mm thick, 720–780 mm high for a sliding panel or 650–720 mm high for a fixed panel.

Q.What are the key features of DB273TX?
A.

DB273TX (Series 5) has 14 place settings, energy class A, 44 dBA, QuadWash™, Auto Opening Door, an Inverter DirectDrive™ Motor and LG ThinQ™ Wi-Fi. It does not have TrueSteam™.

Q.How does DB273TX compare with the freestanding Series 5 DF273FVS?
A.

Both have 14 place settings, energy class A, 44 dBA, QuadWash™ and LG ThinQ™. DF273FVS adds TrueSteam™ with a steam Machine Clean and has front controls, while DB273TX has top controls hidden on the door edge.

Q.Will DB273TX fit my kitchen?
A.

DB273TX measures 598 x 815 x 554 mm (W x H x D) and goes into a cabinet opening built for a dishwasher. LG recommends a location no more than 1 m from the sink, for the water and drain connections.

Q.Does DB273TX protect against leaks and hard water?
A.

Yes. Aqua-Stop shuts off the water supply if a leak is detected, and a built-in water softener helps prevent limescale marks in hard-water areas.

Q.How do I install an integrated dishwasher?
A.

See the built-in installation guide in 'Not sure it will fit?' above. It covers measuring the installation area, installation precautions and mounting a sliding or fixed door panel, and is also on the DB273TX product page on LG.com UK.
