What is the purpose of the hot surface indicator lights?

The hot surface indicator lights stay on after the cooktop is turned off to warn that the surface is still hot enough to cause burns. Do not touch the cooktop until the light turns off.

What type of cookware is recommended for an electric cooktop?

Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element. LG recommends cookware with flat bottom and straight sides, heavy gauge pans, and cookware that matches the amount of food being prepared.

How do the smart features and ThinQ^®app work?

The LG ThinQ^®app lets you monitor your cooktop's status, view cooking settings, and receive notifications from your smartphone. It can also provide firmware updates and, when paired with a compatible LG range hood, automatically turn the vent fan on or off while cooking. Features may vary by model.
