What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great but good enough Bought this unit for $1100 CAD in 2013. The racks rusted a bit and the inside door has what looks like a rust blemish. I called LG and they quickly replaced the racks and said someone would come to replace the door but they never did. The unit quit working well like it use to. It wouldn't cut grease or clean dishes well. I took it apart myself and cleaned it out to find a black rubber seal was broken. I put it back together and its still working ok. But not excellent. Very quiet. This week my house froze and flooded. The dishwasher inlet valve ( DVI- 11s- 1) burst. It's $75 (with shipping) to replace. Hopefully that's all that broke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7 Years and Going... I purchased this in 2010. Had no major issues with it. Just some minor issues, such as replacing the 2 Connector Assembly's (Holds the door from falling down when you open it) & the DRAIN HOSE. Both were easily replaced by me about a month ago. Recently though, the Dishwasher was making a loud grinding noise, then it would automatically stop working. So, I contacted LG about this issue. I thought it was a Motor & Pump Assembly problem. So, they sent over a Technician, to check & replace anything my Dishwasher needed both FREE OF CHARGE, as a customer courtesy for being with LG. They have amazing support. The issue happened to be a piece of some broken plastic, not sure from where, stuck inside where the roller assembly is located. The LG Technician completely cleaned the entire inside of the dishwasher, by taking the entire insides out, cleaning them individually. Put everything back in place. Ran a test run and the Dishwasher was super QUIET again. He waited and waited to make sure all was well. LG and this Dishwasher gets a 5 STAR Rating from me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I'm a LG fan, currently have an LG dishwasher, laundry washer, dryer, and TV. Moved into a house with a new kitchen 1.5 years ago. As a result, we unpackaged it, but unfortunately don't have a receipt. Since day one, this machine has not been great. It's design allows food to get to the bottom of the unit, where it gets chopped up with a blade, then redeposited on the top rack. (Yes we scrape/rinse our dishes, clean the trap, use high end soap and rinse aid, run vinegar, checked water temp, and location of drain hose) Every wash we have done since day 1 has left food particles all over the top rack. I'm also not a huge fan of the racks/prong layout - a lot of dishes don't fit where they should because the prongs are too close to a side. But it is a good looking unit, and it's kind of quiet. It seems like this dishwasher will last a while, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep it, with it throwing food everywhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it Absolute junk. I spent $1300 on top of the line LG dishwasher. After less than 5 years, i've needed 4 service calls. And now the circuit board is toast, and the bearings in the motor are noisy which means the motor is soon going to go. I'm throwing this piece of junk out to the curb and buying something for 1/3 the price that will probably last twice as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 years old with no issues and no maintenance The previous reviewer's experiences are baffling. The only issue observed with this model is after 6 years is some minor calcium build up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks aren't everything when this dishwasher works it was wonderful..this was rare in the 3 years we have owned this appliance. It has been rebuilt from the bottom up... all computer parts have been replaced. we are fed up paying the serviceman to come out at our expense & tell us we have to pay to fix.. spent more than we paid for this dishwasher. Hate to fill the landfill but this one is a dud

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do your research....We Didn't and regret it!!! First off, if all your looking for is good looks and a quiet running dishwasher, this is the one you want. We purchased it because there was a great sale price on it and we wanted to match it with all of our other LG appliances. The microwave sounds like a nuke reactor kicking in. The magnetron was switched without it being fixed. The oven read F3 error only after a year of use! Seems the quality and product testing for this line is absolutely absent. Yes, it is supposed to fit 14 place settings, but it is cramped! We have square plates and bowls which is a reason they don't clean as well. My last dishwasher never had a problem with it though. The silverware, and top rack always has food debris that needs to be picked off. I usually have between 15-20% of the load that needs to be redone. Lately, the detergent door isn't working so know its another gremlin to hunt down for the LG line. Pros are: it is easy to install, the large tub can fit more dishes only if they can be washed and are of a traditional design. It is quiet and it looks great. Cons: circuitry is questionable and it leaves debris on the glasses.(Rinse aid is not the issue). I would stay away from this one!
