Yes. LG chimney hoods are designed for ducted (outside venting) installations to effectively reduce smoke, steam, and cooking odours. Refer to the installation guide for ducting requirements and compatible configurations.

Will this chimney hood fan adhere to local ventilation codes?

Local codes in some areas limit the maximum CFM of installed range hoods. You can adjust the maximum blower CFM of this hood to avoid the need for an expensive make-up air kit. During install, you can easily set the maximum blower speed to one of three commonly specified CFM levels. (600(default), 290 or 390). You may not need to adjust the CFM of the hood. Check local codes for CFM restrictions

What size chimney hood should I choose?

For the best ventilation performance, choose an LG hood that is at least as wide as the cooktop below the chimney hood. LG offers both 30-inch and 36-inch chimney hoods to suit a variety of kitchen layouts.

Will this hood fit my ceiling height?

LG chimney hoods come with an adjustable telescopic chimney that accommodates a range of standard ceiling heights. LG hoods out of box are designed for a maximum ceiling height of 9 feet 10 inches. For higher ceilings up to a maximum of 12 feet in height, there is a duct cover extension available for purchase separately in market from Zephyr (model# Z1C-00AN). Refer to the product specifications and installation guide for the supported installation height of your model.

Yes. LG chimney hoods feature dual-level LED lighting to help illuminate your cooking surface while preparing meals.

Are the aluminum mesh grease filters dishwasher safe?

Yes. The decorative mesh grease filters are removable and dishwasher safe at low heat, making routine cleaning quick and convenient. If the filters are heavily soiled, spray them with a degreasing detergent and leave them to soak. Dry filters and re-install before using hood.

Can the fan turn off automatically?

Yes. LG chimney hoods include an Auto Delay-Off feature that continues running the fan for a short time after cooking before automatically shutting off, helping clear any remaining smoke or odours.

How high should the hood be installed above my cooktop?

For proper performance and safety, install the hood according to the height specified in the installation guide for your model. Most LG chimney hoods are designed to be installed approximately 26 to 34 inches above the cooking surface.
