Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad Love the fridge but love my Best Buy warranty even better! The unit died within the first year. Wasn't cooling. Tech came out and wanted to order a mother board but couldn't tell if that was the issue. So instead, they replaced the whole fridge, no charge. The new one came in with a defective ice maker. Again, they replaced the whole fridge, no charge. We're on our third and so far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed! Just not happy with the vertical bar between the two doors. It doesn't always flip back so when you close the door, it slams and doesn't close all the way. Jams on the right side door. Poor design I guess. We have a counter depth model and it's just not big enough for a family. looks nice, but not big enough.

The control board was replaced less than 6 months into ownership, the outside control panel delaminated after about 2 years. The compressor was replaced 4 months ago and has failed again. LG refuses to cover this repair. DO NOT BUY and LG Refrigerator.

Here's an example: 3months...ice maker/thermostat...covered by warranty 1 year and 1 month...some sort of motherboard that makes the unit run quietly. Apparently everything is covered except the part that makes everything else run normally. 3 years...another ice maker issue involving a leak. I've been on hold for over 30mins waiting for a supervisor...no checking in...i'll hang up and let the Better business bureau handle it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Customer Service Ever! I have had this refrigerator for three years, and I'm already having issues with it. It is not maintaining temperature and the ice maker has stopped working. I have called customer service several times, and talking to them is a complete waste of time, and an effort in frustration. The agents are obviously reading a script of questions, which was fine for the first call. However, when the problem was not fixed by the service technician they sent out, trying to explain this to the agent was almost impossible. It took me almost 30 minutes of repeated explanation. They sent the service person back but did not tell them anything I said, so when he arrived he said the refrigerators sometimes come from the factory low on Freon and it just needed a charge. A week later I'm still having the same issue, call customer service again, only to be put on hold 6 times over 25 minutes, to be told that a service technician appointment cannot be found and someone would have to call me back within the week when something becomes available. This is completely unacceptable, and without a doubt the worst customer experience ever. From this experience alone I will never buy another LG product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the custom chill drawer!!! I've had this refrigerator for about two months now, and I absolutely love it!! This counter depth refrigerator, transformed my kitchen. We host many parties, and our old fridge stuck out, and when we opened the refrigerator door, we would block the walkway, for our guest. Now with the counter-depth fridge, our guest can walk between an open fridge and the kitchen island. The black stainless steel makes for a sleek new look and blends in with our black appliances and black granite countertop. The best part of this refrigerator is the custom chill drawer. It displays my meal prep entrees so perfectly. I've seen other french-door refrigerator, what a waste if it is a dual freezer. Although the refrigerator is smaller than the standard fridge, it seems more roomy, because of the refrigerator drawer, the hidden compartments built in the fridge for smaller items, and the wide, shallow space inside. Perfect because all the items are displayed, and refrigerated items won't get lost in the back. It fits our needs, for our family of three. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
