Using the Media Player

Press the home button arrow_forward Run the Media Player App arrow_forward Select a device to use from the device list. arrow_forward Select the content to play.

  1. You can select a device connected to your TV.
  2. Displayed only when music is playing. Press the  on-screen equalizer icon button to access the Play Music screen.
  3. Launch Search
  4. View Type : Selects a content display mode.
    Sort : Select the option to sort content
    Group : If you filter your Music you can group contents into categories such as Artist and Album
    Selection Play : You can select and play multiple pieces of content.
    Delete : You can select and delete multiple piece of content.
    User Guide : Move to the User Guide App
    Quit App : Turns off the app from running in the background.
  5. Close the app.
    Note : You cannot delete files that are shared from other devices.
    Note : Different settings items are available depending on the filtering or model you selected.
    Note : Certain content may not be displayed on the list if the number of all content exceeds 40,000.

Warning when Playing Video Files

  • ⦿ Some subtitles created by users may not work properly.

  • ⦿ The video and subtitle files should be placed in the same folder.For subtitles to display correctly, the video and subtitle files must have the same name.

  • ⦿ Subtitles on an NAS (Network Attached Storage) device may not be supported depending on the manufacturer and model.

  • ⦿ We do not support any stream that contains GMC (Global Motion Compensation)

  • ⦿ Supports only ULTRA HD models] ULTRA HD Video: 3840 X 2160

    Attention : Your ULTRA HD TV may not support HEVC encoded contents that are not officially supplied by LG. Unsupported codecs are only available after a software upgrade.

  • ⦿ Playback of of video files stored on the USB storage device that do not support High Speed,may not work properly

  • ⦿ TV supports DTS audio codec when USB/HDMI video file playback offers it.

  • ⦿ VP9 video codec may not be supported depending on the model.
