REFRIGERATOR “CL E” / “CH E” ERROR CODE DISPLAYED ON CONTROL PANEL
Either error codes “CL E” or “CH E” appearing in the control panel display indicate there is a possible leak in the sealed system, some restriction in the refrigerant flow, a bad compressor, a defective valve or refrigerator doors have been left opened/ajar way too long.
CL E or E CL error code indicates that there is a low side part refrigerant leak.
CL (Low side cycle leakage) has a high possibility of being refrigerant leakage from the evaporator. Unfortunately, there are no troubleshooting steps for this error code. The unit will require a repair service, please visit our online Request a Repair page (at the bottom of this article).
CH E or E CH error code indicates that there is a high side part refrigerant leak.
CH (High side cycle leakage) has a high possibility of being refrigerant leakage from the condenser. Unfortunately, there are no troubleshooting steps for this error code. The unit will require a repair service, please visit our online Request a Repair page (at the bottom of this article).
CLEARING THE ERROR
- Open right hand side refrigerator door.
- Keeping door open, press BOTH refrigerator and freezer °T Adjust buttons simultaneously three (3) times in a row.
This will clear the error. However, if the error code persists in returning, the appliance will require the presence of a service technician to repair.
