No sound from soundbar connected to TV via HDMI ARC

Making use of the HDMI ARC feature from both TV and external audio system allows consumers to enjoy anything appearing on TV screen in surround sound whether as a matrix simulated surround from a stereo source or actual by-pass genuine surround sound while doing a fine job avoiding the clutter of excessive wires and cables behind the entertainment center.

 


IF YOU ARE STILL EXPERIENCING "NO SOUND" FROM THE SOUND BAR 


There could be some incompatibility issues between the source's audio configuration and supported audio formats from the sound bar.

Try to changing the "Digital Sound Output" format from default "Pass Through" to "Auto" or "PCM" if all fails.

Settings > Sound > SOUND OUT > HDMI ARC > Digital Sound Out > PCM (keep pressing on right or left arrow on either side of desired selection):

 

FAILURE TO STILL OBTAIN SOUND FROM THE SOUND BAR, TRY THE FOLLOWING:

Settings > Sound > Additional Settings > HDMI Input Audio Format > PCM

 

MAKE SURE VOLUME HAS BEEN TURNED UP ON BOTH DEVICES (SOUND BAR & TV).

MAKE SURE "MUTE" BUTTON HAS NOT BEEN PRESSED ON REMOTE CONTROLLER.

MAKE SURE THE FUNCTION SHOWN IN THE DISPLAY WINDOW OF THE SOUND BAR IS "ARC".

MAKE SURE THE HDMI CABLE IS FULLY INSERTED AT BOTH ENDS AND IN THE RIGHT PORTS.

MAKE SURE THE SOUND OUTPUT OPTION ON TV IS SET TO HDMI ARC.
