The LG multi/single-split air conditioner head units’ automatic drying cycle is designed to remove any residual humidity/moisture inside the cooling device chamber that was not otherwise expelled while unit was running. The purpose is to eliminate any possible mildew formation and keep the air conditioner head unit impeccably clean.
The auto drying function starts the moment the cooling mode stops.
Once the auto drying function starts, the air conditioner runs in fan mode for a certain time to remove any remaining moisture from the heat exchanger.
Moisture plays a role of habitable bed for molds and bacilli. So, it is highly recommended to enable the auto drying function on your air conditioner unit to keep it fresh and clean.
Drying conditions inside the air conditioner head unit may vary depending on ambient room air temperature and humidity.

Product released before 2017 ▷ Product running for 30 minutes, and then turned off
Product release after 2017 ▷ Product running for 10 minutes, and then turned off
Status: The power indicator light flashes upon engaging operation then turns itself off leaving only the exhaust fan sound to reassure you process is underway.

The auto drying function gets displayed on the remote controller screen once the function has been activated. As only the exhaust fan is running to dry out the inside, respective icon will remain lit.

The auto drying function may not run, and the product may power off if the product happens to finish its operation while reaching stopping scheduled timer mode or sleeping timer completion mode.
