Viewing Mobile Device’s Screen on TV
Use your smartphone’s built-in screen share function to project your mobile screen to your smart TV monitor. Implementing the screen share function on your smartphone may vary depending on the smart TV monitor or the smartphone model you are using.
Note
- The screen share function allows you to mirror your smartphone screen and sound on your TV so that you can enjoy them on a big TV screen.
- If your smartphone supports the screen share function, you can share your smartphone screen with a smart TV monitor without a cable.
- Implementing the screen share function on your smartphone may vary depending on the smart TV monitor or the smartphone model you are using.
Try this
To share an Android phone screen with a smart TV monitor
- Scroll your smartphone screen from top to bottom to open the [Alert Window] and select [Screen Share].

- The name and location of you phone's screen share function may vary from the instructions above. For details, please refer to the user's guide for your particular product.
- On some phones the widgets on the alert window can be set or removed. As such you might not find the screen sharing function there.
- Select the smart TV monitor you want to connect to from the list of external devices displayed on the [Screen Share] screen.
- When a message appears on the smart TV monitor screen to confirm the request for sharing the smartphone screen, select [Accept].
When you connect Screen Share for the first time, a popup will appear which allows you to select Decline , Accept or Block
- Decline : Do not connect the device. If you try to connect again, the popup will appear.
- Accept : You can connect the device. No connection popup will appear from the second time.
- Block : Do not connect the device. Even if you try to connect again, the popup will not appear and the connection will not work.

To share an iPhone screen with a smart TV monitor
- Scroll the smartphone screen from top to bottom to open [Control Center] and select [Screen Mirroring].
- Select the smart TV monitor you want to connect to from the list of external devices displayed on the [Screen Mirroring] screen.
- When [AirPlay Passcode] appears on the smart TV monitor screen, enter the password on your iPhone.
➔ If the smartphone screen is displayed on the TV in overlay / partial screen mode, you can use four functions.
1. You can change the smartphone screen position.
2. You can listen to the smartphone sound on the TV.
3. You can see the smartphone screen on the TV as the full screen.
4. You can end the screen share function.

- Overlay Mode use may be limited depending on the app or video opened.
- For a reliable connection always keep the connected device to your TV updated to the latest OS version.
- A non-LGE device might not connect even when it is detected.
- Connect the device to a 5 GHz router because the performance may be affected by your wireless environment.
- The response rate may vary depending upon the user’s environment.
- It differs among devices. When trying to connect to a device, refer to the device's User's Guide for more information.
- If the connection fails repeatedly, turn off the TV and the device you are trying to connect. Then turn them back on and try again.
