Voice Recognition [VIDEO]

1. Press the mic button on the Magic Remote.
2. Select the Help menu at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
4. Turn on the Hands-Free Voice Recognition function.

1. To turn on the TV, say the trigger word “Hi LG” to the TV to activate the voice control function.
2. When the device recognizes the trigger word, it will make a chime sound.
3. After hearing the sound, say:

 → “Turn on the TV.”

4. You can also activate the voice control while watching TV by saying “Hi LG.”
5. When the TV recognizes your voice:
• A chime sounds
• A voice recognition image appears on screen
• Then say what you want: e.g., “Switch to channel 6.”

If you want to find out what commands you can use:

1. Press the mic button on the remote control.
2. Click on the Help menu at the bottom of the screen.

1. This function is only available when the TV is connected to a network.
2. If you say “Hi LG” to a TV that’s not connected, you’ll see:

 →“Voice recognition will be available by connecting TV to the network.”

If the Quick Start+ function is off, you can’t turn on the TV using voice.

To fix:

1. Press Settings
2. Go to All Settings > General > Additional Settings
3. Turn on Quick Start+

1. The TV may be misinterpreting background noise as the trigger word.
2. You can adjust the sensitivity in the Voice Recognition settings.
