Auto Power (HDMI-CEC) function [television]
HDMI technology provides CEC (consumer electronic commands) function when an external peripheral is connected to your television via an HDMI cable, enabling power up and shut-down control between products as well as some default settings for optimized viewing. HDMI-CEC function on LG Smart televisions is known as SimpLink. Other manufacturers utilize their own version under different names. It’s still the same functionality regardless.
Try this
To enable [Auto Power] from the Settings menu
Enable [Auto Power] in [2023 webOS 23]
Press the
button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] > [External Devices] > [HDMI Settings] > [SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC)] > On

After turning on the TV, press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select [All Settings].

From [General], select [External Devices].

Select [HDMI Settings].

Enable or turn on the [Simplink (HDMI-CEC)].
Enable [Auto Power] in [2022 webOS 22]
Press the
button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [Devices] → [HDMI Settings] → [Simplink
(HDMI-CEC)] → [ON].
- After turning on the TV, press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select [All Settings].

From [General], select [Devices].

Select [HDMI Settings].
- Enable or turn on the [Simplink (HDMI-CEC)].
Enable [Auto Power] in [2020 webOS 5.0]
Press the
button on the remote control and select → [All Settings] → [Connection] → [Device Connection Settings] →
[Simplink (HDMI-CEC)] → [ON].
- After turning on the TV, press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select
[All Settings].
- From [Connection], select [Device Connection Settings].
- From [Device Connection Settings], set [Simplink (HDMI-CEC)] to On.
Set [Auto Power] in [Settings]

[Simplink (HDMI-CEC)] → [On].
