DLNA not supported on Macintosh Operating System

Troubleshooting

TV/Audio/Video

12/09/2023

Note

Users attempting to stream media files from a Mac computer via DLNA will be disappointed.
As per below DLNA Certification memo: Apple does not support DLN.
Alternate solution is PLEX MediaLink or FireStream

FireStream is the most advanced UPnP/DLNA media server for the Mac platform. FireStream natively supports media from Music, TV, Podcasts, Books and Photos as well as any user specified folders.
