Rattling noise [dishwasher]
Why is the dishwasher making some rattling noise?
Cause and Symptoms
Rattling noise inside the dishwasher can occur when silverware falls from the basket on account of the force of the water spray and hit dishes and any other items nearby or lightweight dishes banging against each other while water is being sprayed around forcefully.
Try this
- Pause the cycle. Wait a few moments for the water level to decrease then open the door carefully. Then, check whether any dishes or cutlery protrude from the upper basket.
- Reload dishes and leave space between light dishes such as plastic plates.
The intensity of the noise may vary depending on how the dishes are loaded inside the dishwasher baskets.
