LG air conditioners will feature the model/serial tag mostly on the outside of the unit on the right-hand side as you face the product. It has been noted on some models that for some odd reason, the Model/Serial tag was located on the left-hand side. Just be cognizant of that fact in case it’s not on the right side.
LG product model numbers always start with a letter while the serial number starts with 3 numbers (first one indicating year of manufacturing followed by 2-digits identifying the month).
If your purchase consists of a “REFURBISHED”, “RECONDITIONED”, “AS IS” or “FINAL SALE” appliance, the model and serial number identifier label may have been removed to protect the confidentiality of the previous (ORIGINAL) owner’s information LG Electronics has on file.
Even though the product may appear as never having been used or barely, the fact it was momentarily the possession of another changes the product status from brand new to second-hand.
In most cases, products returned within a few hours or a few days because the original owner(s) had a change of heart or suddenly realized they preferred something else create an outstanding VALUE for the next buyer.
Regrettably, LG Electronics’ product warranties are non-transferrable.
