Dual Storage - Adding SSD or NVMe
This article will address converting your LG Gram Notebook to accommodate the concept of Dual Storage by adding either a Solid State Drive to your computer or some Non-Volatile Memory Express.
DEFINITIONS
Solid State Drive (SSD):
These memory storage devices harbor data permanently inside an integrated circuit, usually relying on flash memory technology.
Memory inside an SSD is written, transferred, and electronically erased data done in utmost quietness.
These devices do not feature the moving parts you would expect inside a mechanical hard-disk drive (HDD).
Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe):
NVM Express or Non-Volatile Memory Host Controller Interface Specification is an open, logical-device interface specification
for accessing a computer's non-volatile storage media usually connected to the PCI Express bus.

Function for each restoration type

- Two-way mirror: Corresponds to RAID 1. Provides the restoration function. Needs two sets of physical disks.
- Three-way mirror: Complex composition of RAID 0, 5. It Needs at least five drives.
- Parity: Corresponds to RAID 5. You can set the capacity to higher than the available disk space.
