Automatic Power OFF feature
When the TV is on, it will automatically turn itself off if there is no keystroke from the remote control within the specified time or no command sent to the TV via external device’s remote control. The timeout is usually set by default from the factory for a viewing period of 4 hours.
- Some models may not support this feature.
Customers wishing to disable this feature should navigate to the on-screen menu option as follows :
GENERAL
→ SYSTEM
→ Tine and Timer
→ Timers
→ Auto Power Off after 4 hours
→ Set the switch to OFF position
If, after disabling this function, the problem persists, you should address USB and HDMI peripherals connected to the TV. Note that many HDMI devices with control over other devices (HDMI-CEC) also have their own Auto Power Off feature, often set as a factory default, which, as a result, may affect the TV, especially newer cable set-top boxes.
Make sure to have disabled this feature on all HDMI devices connected to the TV .
Customers have reported that despite having followed instructions to a T, their television still turns itself off on it own. At this point, you may want to investigate peripherals connected to the TV whether they may feature some sort of AUTO SHUT-OFF and whether said feature might be enabled.
For example, YouTube features an Autoplay option within its streaming services often resulting in AUTO SHUT-OFF.
How to turn auto pause off?
Disable the Autoplay Feature
- Tap the Settings icon on the left at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap “Autoplay”
- Select “Autoplay” off.
This may sound absurd but, when your TV is operating on Wi-Fi, YouTube’s “Autoplay” (when enabled) will automatically stop after running for 4 hours.
You may need to do the same with the cable set-top-box and any other streaming services you happen to watch a lot.
Whenever streaming video content and PAUSING it, by pressing the remote controller ENTER key (wheel) in order to momentarily tend to other tasks or chores, after 2 minutes of picture inactivity on screen, the television will automatically trigger the SCREEN SAVER mode.
The screen saver mode is a preventive measure to avoid any occurrence of residual image sticking inside the glass panel. This feature cannot be disabled. Upon returning to viewing streaming content, simply press any remote controller button other than the POWER button
