Restoring factory default settings
Return TV to its initial settings. After having reset your television, the TV will automatically turn off and back on again as if it were brand new. You will be prompted to pair the Magic Motion Remote Controller once again then proceed with the initial TV setup.
- Reset All - All items on the TV are changed to their default settings.
- Reset all except network settings - All items except the network settings are changed to their default settings.
Note
- If Safety is set to ON; you will be required to type in the password to Reset to Initial Settings. For more information regarding the safety settings and resetting your safety pin please consult this article addressing "Parental Control" on WebOS televisions.
- Do not turn off the power during initialization.
- We recommend that you reset the TV to Reset to Initial Settings before you sell it or transfer it to a third party.
Try this
Select [Initialization Settings] in the TV Settings menu.
➔ Open the TV Settings menu and select the menu items as instructed below.
Running [Initialization Settings] in the Settings menu
[2023 WebOS23], [2022 WebOS22] and [2021 WebOS6.0]
- Press the
button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [General] → [System] → [Reset to Initial Settings].
- Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on your TV remote.
Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
- Select [General] and then [System].
- Select [Reset to Initial Settings].
- Confirm [Reset to Initial Settings] to start the initialization.
[2020 WebOS 5.0]
- Press the
button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [Support] → [Reset to Initial Settings].
- Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on your TV remote.
Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
- Select [Support] and then [Reset to Initial Settings].
- Confirm [Reset to Initial Settings] to start the initialization.
[2019 WebOS 4.5 or before]
Press the
button on the TV remote and select
[All Settings] →
[General] →
[Reset to Initial Settings].
- Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on your TV remote.
- Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
- Select [Reset to Initial Settings] in [General].
- Confirm [Reset to Initial Settings] to start the initialization.
