What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality After a lot of research I decided on this LG.Big mistake! I've had to return 2 of them because anytime there was a black screen it would have three vertical bars of different shades of gray. After speaking to an LG representative the solution was to have a repair person come and take my few month old TV apart so I decided to live with the bars. But now I have blue and white horizontal lines all the way down the side the TV.This is obviously a defective model line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV for the price I love the overall look of the tv. It has a nice thin border and sleek screen. The picture is great, although it is my first 4k tv, so i dont have much experience to really compare it to anything else. Sound is good, gets plenty loud. My only con would be its been a little difficult to get the picture settings just right for when im playing rdr2 on ps4, its a little too dark and hard to see. It can also get pretty hot after long usage and heats my room.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture delicate screen I like LG TV's, they just make sense to me. I bought a plasma in 2010 and it lasted 5 years. I bought this 55SJ8500 as a replacement. I also game so I like LG's low input lag. My only complaint is that the screens are not as tough as they used to be. My son threw a toy at the TV and cracked the screen. It cost more than the TV to fix. I ended up buying the KS8000 as it was a newer model. My old plasma could take a beating from toys but I guess they had thick glass screens. The new TV's are more like cell phones. So I had a local acrylic shop make me a 0.25 inch screen protector for the new TV. Dang thing can take a direct toy hit without flinching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tv I purchased this TV in November 2017 it’s now January 2019 I’d like to say I have 0 issues with the TV. I have the 65” model 65sj8500 I use it daily for a minimum of 10 hours I have had no screen burn from games or tv and it has totally improved the image quality of our Blu-ray movies without buying 4-K blue ray . The image is clear and smooth and using the settings to customize viewing picture and preferences is fairly simple game mode straight out of the box on this tv was very good for the Xbox one X I run games on 4K and haven’t noticed any issues with refresh ratings or input lag from the tv. If there is anything I would recommend it would be to get high quality 4K hdmi cables don’t skimp on those they will impact image quality and a sound bar if you want to hear the base in movies with a tv that looks this great the sound should be there too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I wanted... and more!!!! Excellent picture, gorgeous!!! Our Christmas present to each other. Lots of HDMI and USB ports. I looked at 100's of tvs over months, this one stood out and I ordered it the next day, after I showed my husband. I will be getting a home theater system to put it over the top, but the sound is pretty good on its own. So good that we can take our time looking for just the right system.
