Temperature settings can be adjusted using the control panel, which may be located inside the refrigerator or on the door, depending on the model. You can also change the temperature remotely unsing your phone on select models that are also equipped with ThinQ® wifi (you must first download the ThinQ® app to your phone and connect the fridge in order to enable this functionality). LG generally recommends maintaining a refrigerator temperature around 3°C (37°F) and a freezer temperature around -18°C (0°F) for optimal performance. Some LG refrigerators feature Zero Clearance™ hinges on select models, which are designed to allow doors to open fully even in tighter installation spaces.  *For optimal performance, LG recommends 0.16 inches (4 mm) clearance between the sides of the refrigerator and the wall.

If your refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker, it may take up to 24 hours after installation or activation to begin producing ice (The icemaker will not begin to operate until it reaches its operating temperature of –9°C or below - It will then begin operation). Ice production can be affected by factors such as freezer temperature, water supply connection, and frequency of door openings. Check that the ice maker is turned on and that the water supply is properly connected. Refer to your owner’s manual for additional troubleshooting instructions.

It is typically recommended to replace you water filter approximately every 6 months, or as indicated by the filter replacement indicator. Refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions.

On select Wi-Fi enabled models, LG ThinQ^® allows you to connect your refrigerator to your smartphone. Through the app, you may be able to monitor performance, receive alerts, and adjust certain settings remotely. Features and functionality may vary by model and require a Wi-Fi connection.
