Control Panel Protective Film
Can the transparent film over the keypad control panel be removed?
- Yes. The film over the control panel is there to protect it during shipping. It serves no functional purpose.
- It can be left on, but over time, using the control panel will cause the transparent film to start “bubbling”. At that time, best to remove it altogether or it can be removed when first purchased.
Note
So long as the appliance has been kept in a cool place away from any heat source, direct or indirect, and has not been operated still too often, the protective film will generally pull itself out without leaving any sticky gunk residue from the adhesive substance underneath protective film.
However, should it have been inevitable to notice some gunk residue left on the panel upon removing the protective film, here are some options to clean the gunk off.
Products that can help remove sticky gunk from adhesive film residue:

| Goof Off |
