Light stays lit or flash
If one or more lights on your washer’s control panel remain illuminated or begin flashing, this typically indicates that a feature, option, or cycle function is currently active.
In most cases, this behavior is normal and part of standard operation.
Try this
Common Reasons a Light Stays Lit or Flashes
>- Active Cycle or Feature
- When a wash cycle is running, the corresponding indicators will remain lit or flash to show current operation.
- Cycle Progress Indicator
- The cycle progression lights (such as Wash, Rinse, or Spin) will stay lit or blink to indicate which stage of the cycle the washer is currently in.
- Selected Options
- If an option (such as Extra Rinse, TurboWash, or Steam) is selected, the indicator for that option will stay lit or may flash during operation.
- Specific Symbols or Icons
- Some LG washers display symbols rather than text. If a particular symbol stays lit or flashes, refer to the owner’s manual for your specific model to identify the meaning of that symbol.
Special Notes
>- Lid or Door Lock Indicator
- The Door Lock or Lid Lock light will stay lit while the washer is operating and may remain on briefly after the cycle ends until it is safe to open.
- Load Sensing
- During the initial load-sensing phase, some indicators may flash while the washer measures load size and balances the drum.
When to Be Concerned
>If the entire control panel or multiple lights are flashing continuously and the washer does not respond to button presses, this may indicate an electrical or control board issue.
Action
Unplug the washer from the wall electrical outlet. If the issue continues after restoring power, the unit will require professional service.
