Light Leaking [monitor]
Due to various characteristics of the LCD monitor, very often, the screen edge has a different brightness level.

IPS Glow and Backlight Bleeding (LCD monitor light leaking edges)
IPS Glow
IPS Glow is the byproduct of just what IPS technology is and thus cannot be altered. In a nutshell the backlight passing through the IPS panel will occasionally result in slightly leaking in the corners (IPS Glow). While this issue is not repairable it will not worsen as it is an inherent flaw in accordance with product specifications. Additionally depending on the angle at which the LCD monitor is being viewed (visual angle), the brightness will slightly tone down.
Visual angle: Refers to maximum side angle at which you can view the image on screen properly.
At a visual angle of 40° or greater from the top/bottom/left/right, light may appear leaking which is perfectly normal due to the LCD design characteristics.
Adjust the monitor's height, angle and so on to set the correct visual angle.
(Height and angle control functions and so on may differ by models.)
If the leak is constant between viewing angles or is visible in a very well-lit room then you might be dealing with a defect such as Backlight Bleeding.
Backlight Bleeding
Backlight bleeding is characterized as light leaking from the edges of an LCD monitor instead of passing through the screen leaving a noticeable difference in color compared to the center and edges of the monitor. Unlike the IPS Glow, Backlight Bleeding is considered a defect and the intensity does not change based on the angle.
Color differences at the edges of LCD monitor
LCD monitor is composed of multiple thin layers, thus depending on the location, there can be a fine
thickness difference.
Due to the thickness difference, there is a difference in light penetration rates, which in turn leads to a
different color seen from the top/bottom/left/right/diagonal line, thus it is a normal product.
Adjust the monitor's height, angle and so on to set the correct visual angle.
(Height and angle control functions and so on vary depending on the model.)
Monitor vignette (Brightness difference between the center and the edge of monitor)
The light guide panel that delivers lights to the inside of the screen is designed to maintain the bright
part at the center of screen.
If the edge looks darker than the center of screen, it is normal.
