If the laundry is stuck on one side or is not level, the spin cycle may not be possible.
At that time, the washing machine would have detected an unbalanced load. In order to resolve this unbalanced load issue with the washer, water will be supplied to the tub to loosen the load so that some unwinding motion can be initiated and redistribute the load more evenly.
Additionally, with the automatic suds neutralizer function, a jet of water is being sprayed inside the tub to remove any excessive suds and foreign materials remaining in the tub after the rinsing.
For certain models, water may come out of the jet spray when selecting TurboWash at water levels 1 to 3.
Cause and Symptoms
- The spin cycle will not engaged. Load remains idling in the drum.
- During the spin cycle, water comes out and rinsing keeps occurring repeatedly.
- During the spin cycle, water comes out of the sky blue jet spray.
Try this
Does it spin slowly or simply stop spinning?
➔ If the load inside the drum is packed to one side or the washing machine is not properly leveled, there is a good chance the spin cycle will not engage and the washing machine may stop altogether.
-
Laundry net: It is recommended to use a laundry net suited for the amount and size of each typical load, adding garments to the point of filling no more than 2/3 of the laundry net.
When using a laundry net, avoid washing the net separately. Wash at least 2 or 3 laundry nets harboring different clothing types.
Improper laundry net use may cause damage to the washing machine and the laundry or excessive vibration and noise. -
Duvets: If you wash two or more duvets or wash one duvet along with a normal load of laundry, the items may get tangled or packed to one side due to material differences. Be wary.
Best to wash one duvet at a time using the Bedding cycle. -
Normal laundry load: If you insert an excessive amount of clothing, garments and other items, the load is bound to become tangled, resulting in the load getting packed to one side becoming an unbalanced issue.
If the load becomes packed to one side, remove some of the items from the laundry, evenly spread the remaining items and restart the washing machine cycle again. - Small load: If you plan on washing very few items, be aware that small loads are more than likely bound to get packed to one side of the drum. We strongly recommend you add more items to wash, evenly spread the load then restart the washing machine cycle again.
-
Puffer jackets: For bulky and light pieces of clothing, washing these items without first manually submerging them under water may damage the fabric, cause the load to get packed to one side or get water to splash out of the tub.
Wash that type of load after having manually submerged it under water. -
Knitwear: Synthetic yarn knits are prone to absorbed lots of water so, if washing only 1 garment, it risks clinging on to one side of the drum.
Best to wash two or more knitwear together at any given time. -
Laundry balls: Adding excessive number of laundry balls in the washing machine risks causing abnormal vibration and noise.
Stick to no more than the maximum number of laundry balls per load as recommended by the laundry ball manufacturer.
When washing loads of laundry consisting of laundry nets, large duvets, or any assorted loads that may easily get packed to one side during the wash cycle, noise are most time associated to these incidents and will occur.
However, if no noise can be heard during the spin cycle while the tub is empty, it means the washer is operating normally.
Do you feel the washer vibrating or hear abnormal noise during the spin cycle?
→ Check whether the washing machine is properly leveled.
If the washing machine is not appropriately leveled, the tub gets lopsided and noise can occur from operating the unleveled appliance.
Also, if the floor where the washer is installed is not rigid or is sloped and slippery (sitting on ceramic tiles), the washing machine may move or vibrate more during its operation.
Leveling method
Turn it counterclockwise to raise the height.
Is water supplied during the spin cycle? Does the washing machine return to rinse or repeatedly rinse?
→ If the load gets packed to one side during the spinning segment, water will be supplied to initiate the unwinding motion needed in order to spread the load more evenly inside the drum.
When the unwinding motion operates (up to 2 times), the spin time will increase (by approximately 10 minutes), and when the imbalance issue is solved during operation, the washing machine enters the spin cycle normally.
If the problem recurs continuously, evenly spread the laundry and start the spin cycle.
Does water come out of the sky blue part (right side of the detergent dispenser) during the spin cycle?
→ The automatic suds neutralizer function is in operation.
The automatic suds neutralizer function washes off excessive detergent suds and foreign materials remaining in the tub, such as lint, strands, paper tissue, etc. using a jet spray during the spin segment of the wash cycle.
If the spin cycle rotation speed is low, water is sprayed and then the spin cycle rotation increases for the final spin cycle process, so it does not affect the performance of spinning the clothing.
Water is sprayed for approximately 1 minute in the middle of the spin cycle.
2. Function does not operate when carrying out Rinse+Spin or Spin Only.
3. Function does not operate when the TurboWash option is selected.
4. Function operates only with Normal cycle, Safe, Pre-wash+Normal cycle, Sanitary cycle 40°C and Sterilize 60°C (models with water heater only).
5. Function operates only at water levels 1 to 6 within applicable wash cycles.
6. In case of high water pressure or extra voluminous load, the function abstains from operating in order to prevent water from splashing.
→ The TurboWash function is in operation.
The TurboWash function is an option that saves customers time and power consumption by using the jet spray for washing. For certain models, water may come out of the jet spray when selecting TurboWash at water levels 1 to 3.
