What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lid hinges are JUNK Amazing how little parts and pieces shatter JUST AFTER 1 year warranty runs out. NEVER buying ANY LG again. (Washer lid hinges broke, rendering unit USELESS)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from a piece of junk This washer is a piece of junk. Do not buy. Can't run a load with error code UE, unbalanced load. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Goes “uneven” ALL THE TIME. I’ve had this washer for years, got it new. About 75% of the time it goes “uneven”. Too many clothes, not enough, wrong mix of clothing weights combined together, it rarely matters. Uses more water as it TRIES to sort itself out, never helps. Just takes longer and uses more water. Never getting a model with these “features” ever again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't last Terrible washer, already having to replace and only a few years old. Have had several repairs on it (starting within the first 2 months we had it) and now to have replace after 3 years. Worst washer I have ever owned and not covered under warranty. It is so bad, that I can't even run a entire cycle, it shakes, moves and is out of control. I have to stop it the last 10-15 minutes of any cycle I run, even the delicate cycle. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wonderful features Have enjoyed my washer except for the constant out of balance issue. When this washer works it is a dream but I have faced the issue of it being out of balance whenever I try to wash a small load or if I have a mixed load of any kind and it will take many tries to try to get it balanced well enough to spin properly and finish the load. The usual solution is to remove some of the soppy load and spin each bunch individually. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible washer! This is by far the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned in my life. It constantly goes unbalanced. Filling and spinning partially and refilling over and over until it just stops working. It takes me 2-3 hours to finish a load and I will most of the time have to stand over it and hit pause before it refills with water again. I have tried all different sized loads, placement of each item to make sure its balanced etc. I have had service come out several times over the past 5 years and they replaced the computer twice. My warranty has now run out and I am stuck with a machine that doesn't work. I am currently researching other brands as I will never trust LG again for an appliance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 Hours to do a load of laundry I'm really glad I don't own one of these. I lease a home that has one and it's 2 hours to complete one load of laundry. That is my review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sucks Interestingly, I've had absolutely no problem with the uneven balance error. The high spin speed and its stability are the only things I like about this machine and maybe the only reason I haven't thrown it out! My problems with it: -No manual override to any of its automatic settings -Cannot change any setting once a cycle has started and attempting to do so requires turning it off and back on which automatically drains the drum -The pause button has a time limit, maybe 10-15mins, before it automatically drains the drum -No way to manually add water or control water level in any way and water level is its biggest flaw as the quality of clothes agitation is totally dependent on it. There are only two levels this machine chooses, far too little or way too much and neither work. When water level is too low the clothes dont tumble and those at the bottom can get torn from getting beaten by the churning wheel or whatever called. With water level too high, clothes still wont tumble and just float around doing nothing. -extra rinse option must be used every load or clothes will have soap on them I bought this machine used so I can't return it, etc. My fix for the manual addition of water to correct level without having to pause it: Take the folding handle off (this fix wouldn't be possible without this stupid feature, the glass lid is also helpful here) so that theres access for a hose to add water with. Put a 2 way splitter on the valve before the washer hose on the wall to connect another washer hose to. Use the valve on the splitter to add extra water with the hose through the hole from the absent lid handle. Removing the handle is a bit tricky and also requires the placement of a strong magnet over the sensor behind the control panel before any cycle will run. It's kind of a pain and I wish I had my 20yr old washer that worked much better than this high tech piece of junk. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
