Introducing LG's highest Energy Star Rated French Door Fridges over 500L.*

What does a 5-star energy rating on LG’s French door fridge mean?

A 5 star energy rating fridge indicates a high level of energy efficiency, meaning the fridge uses less electricity to operate compared to lower rated models. In our LG French Door fridge range, these 5 star energy rated models represent our highest energy star rated French Door fridges over 500L, based on a star rating out of 10 when compared against other LG French Door fridges. This rating is assessed in accordance with AS/NZS IEC 4474 as at 1/03/24.

In practical terms, higher efficiency in a 5 star fridge can translate to lower running costs over time. For example, there is up to a 19 percent reduction in annual energy consumption when comparing a new LG GF-B505 to an LG GF-B590 model, measured in accordance with AS/NZS IEC 62552-3.

Ultimately, that means lower electricity costs and a more eco-friendly lifestyle for you.

What are the benefits of a 5-star rated French door fridge?

A 5 star fridge offers clear advantages over lower rated models, particularly when it comes to energy efficiency.

Using less electricity to deliver the same high level of cooling performance, these fridges can help reduce running costs over their lifespan. Improved efficiency also means a smaller environmental footprint, with lower energy consumption contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

As for your practical daily needs, a higher star rating does not compromise performance, even though these LG French door fridges use less power. Instead, they offer advanced cooling technology, better insulation, and smarter design that help maintain consistent temperatures and food freshness.

Choosing a 5 star energy rating fridge is a practical way to balance performance, sustainability and long term savings in a busy household.

Should I buy a 5-star rated French door fridge?

Deciding whether to buy a 5 star energy rating refrigerator depends on your needs and priorities.

If you value energy efficiency, lower running costs and reducing your environmental impact, a 5 star fridge is a strong choice because it uses less electricity while delivering strong cooling performance. The French door design offers practical benefits like wide storage space, flexible shelving and convenient access to both fresh and freezer zones, making it ideal for families or people who entertain often.

Consider your budget, kitchen space and how much you use your fridge. If you want a stylish, high capacity and efficient appliance that supports better food organisation and long term savings, a 5 star energy rating fridge could be a very good fit in your home.
