[LG dryer smell] There is a gas odor from the dryer during operation

Troubleshooting

LPG and LNG are originally colorless and odorless gases.
In order to detect gas leakage, a substance called mercaptan is mixed into the gas and artificially causes unpleasant odors such as that of leeks and garlic.

※ Mercaptan
A foul-smelling organic sulfur compound, an odorant used in city gas

Try this

Does the dryer emit a gas odor during operation?

➔ Ensure that the space in which the dryer is installed is well-ventilated.

Occasionally, if mercaptan is not fully combusted and emitted from the dryer, it may cause a temporary gas odor.
Open the windows for ventilation.
If there is a persistent smell of gas even after ventilation, request a visit from an LG service technician to inspect the machine.
